Your free guide

The guide is a direct PDF download. We do not ask for or store your email to provide it. Downloading does not create a subscription, and no email or newsletter is sent.

Messages you choose to send

If you contact us by email, we receive your address and the information you include. We use it to respond to your question, correction or privacy request, not to add you to a marketing list. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and maintaining accurate, accessible editorial information, or compliance with a legal obligation when handling rights requests. Please include only what we need to address your message.

Correspondence is kept for the time needed to resolve the request and any related follow-up or dispute, and where required by applicable legal obligations. These criteria depend on the nature of your request; there is no separate email database for downloading the guide.

Hosting and technical records

Hostinger provides the hosting and mailbox services. Technical server records can include IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and response details. They support delivery, troubleshooting and security of this site, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a reliable service. These provider-managed records are separate from application analytics.

Server-log retention and service subprocessors are managed under the provider's service arrangements; we do not claim that the period visible in a dashboard is a deletion deadline. Contact us for information about a particular request. Hostinger's data processing terms describe its processing role, subprocessors and safeguards for transfers where applicable. Our web server is located in Germany; this does not mean that every provider service is processed exclusively there.

Cookies and optional measurement

Optional audience measurement is off until you accept it. Accept enables it, Reject leaves it off, and Configure lets you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. Rejecting does not affect pages, video, the PDF or product links.

With your consent, our own server counts page views, guide clicks and affiliate-link clicks by day, page path and broad source category (direct, search, AI referral, social, referral or internal). The source comes from the referrer domain and may be incomplete; we do not send or store the full referrer, search terms or URL query strings in these counters. We do not measure unique people, sales or Amazon orders.

There is no analytics provider such as Google Analytics, no advertising tracker and no analytics cookie or visitor identifier. Counts are aggregated and kept for up to 90 days. The server necessarily receives an IP address; abuse protection uses a keyed IP hash in one-hour rate-limit windows, separate from the counts. Expired protection entries are removed on the next measurement request or scheduled maintenance run. Ordinary hosting security logs described above are separate. The operator and hosting provider process this information; it is not sent to Amazon or another analytics service.

Your consent is the basis for optional measurement. Withdrawal stops subsequent measurement, but previously aggregated counts cannot be linked back to you and removed individually. Browsers signalling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keep optional measurement disabled even if you press Accept.

If you choose to remember your preference, browser local storage (mpb_privacy_preferences) holds the choice, notice version and expiry for up to 180 days. It contains no visitor identifier and is not sent as a record to us. You can leave Remember this choice unchecked; the choice then lasts for the current page and the notice returns on navigation. No optional measurement runs without JavaScript. The private operator dashboard uses an essential session cookie only for its signed-in administrator.

There is no marketing mailing list, automated profiling or decision-making by this site. Amazon and manufacturer sites follow their own privacy policies when you choose to visit them.

Your choices and rights

You can contact us to request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal information, or to object to processing. Portability applies where the relevant legal conditions are met. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify a request. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority. See the AEPD's guidance on exercising your rights.
