Compare published weight limits, sleeping space, access and care. Start with your cat’s need, then investigate a specific model.

Larger cats: start with the limits

A breed name or a tall silhouette does not establish fit. Check the exact per-cat limit, usable sleeping surface and route between levels. A smaller base may still have wide platforms above it.

A 15.4 lb limit excludes a heavier cat even when the listing says “large”. A 23 lb limit does not prove that a basket fits every cat below it. Compare the measurements with places your cat already uses.

Get the household setup right

FelineVMA recommends separated resources and safe places, rather than requiring cats to share every important location. A large tree should not become the only resting place or an unavoidable route past another cat. [1]
