Litter-Robot 4: a high-ticket litter candidate
The linked black unit with step and fence is B0BH6MD3DJ. Whisker gives a 22 × 27-inch footprint, 29.5-inch height and 15.75-inch opening. The rotating globe separates waste into a drawer; sensors and cleaning are both part of the system. [10] [19]
Measure the usable internal space, access step and room needed for servicing. A broad entrance does not prove a particular large cat can turn and posture comfortably. A conventional open tray remains a valid alternative; automation is not a requirement for good care.
Litter-Robot operating boundaries
The manual requires at least 3 lb for automatic mode, a firm level surface, compatible litter, clearance from walls and unplugging before servicing. Do not modify the hardware or wet the electronic base. Keep the old litter option available while the cat becomes comfortable, and never force entry. [11]
Emptying the drawer, checking the sensors and cleaning remain recurring jobs. The presence of sensors does not establish zero risk or replace observing normal operation. Do not treat app readings as a veterinary diagnosis. Follow the current manual for the exact unit.
Plan the first setup before ordering
The US manual describes a unit supplied assembled. Read its placement and initial-cycle instructions rather than looking for a furniture-style assembly sequence. It requires a firm, level location and no contact with surrounding walls. Keep the full manual available beside the unit.
Choose where the drawer will open and where supplies will be stored without obstructing access. This practical plan is an editorial checklist, not evidence that we installed the device in your room.
Choose the litter separately
Do not assume a brand is compatible because it is popular. The manual specifies the accepted litter types and fill limit. Our litter comparison guide starts with those constraints. A bag advertised for general cat use is not automatically a tested pairing with this machine.
